The pizza base here is home-made, and there’s a wide range of bold flavor combinations on offer. Options include the Wild in Havana, with jerk pork, ham, salami, diced pickles, Swiss cheese, mozzarella and a mustard-mayo drizzle.
There’s plenty on offer for vegetarians too, and many of the pizzas can be made vegan or gluten-free. Also on the menu are calzones, hoagies, burgers, sandwiches and salads. And there’s a choice of 18 craft beers and cocktails to accompany your meal.
Mellow Mushroom is open seven days a week. Dine in or collect your food curb-side for takeout. Note, though, that there’s no delivery service.
2. Big Daddy’s Pizzeria

Big Daddy’s is a local chain offering pizzas baked on its wood-fired stove. You can dine in or arrange curbside pick-up. The Pigeon Forge location opens seven days a week, from 11 am to 9 pm, during normal times. But it sometimes closes on Tuesdays – check the website for the latest details.
Pizza is the centerpiece of an extensive menu that also features appetizers, salads, sandwiches and desserts. There’s lots of choices when it comes to your pie, including for those on low-carb diets.
Big Daddy’s has recently introduced an innovative low-carb sausage pizza base. It costs $5.99 and can be substituted for the conventional crust on any 10-inch pizza. It’s made with a pound of sausages and no flour at all.
You can also choose 14-inch pies. The list of toppings includes chicken, meatballs, and prime rib for carnivores, and goat cheese, caramelized onions and pepperoncini for vegetarians.
3. Smoky Mountain Brewery

Smoky Mountain Brewery wins rave reviews from pizza lovers for both the quality of its food and its excellent service. This was once strictly a dine-in destination, but now also offers curb-side pick-up and delivery. And it’s open seven days a week.
The pizzas and calzones here are made with fresh dough hand-tossed to the perfect consistency. The round pies come in a choice of 8, 12 and 16-inch diameters. And there’s a choice of either red or white pizzas.
Specials include the Brewmaster, a white pie with a blend of four cheeses, roast chicken, garlic roasted tomatoes and spinach. Or there’s the Veggie, with mushrooms, olives, onions, green peppers and garlic roasted tomatoes.
Also on the menu are grilled and fried meat dishes, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and fish and chips.
4. Pizza at the Cove

Pizza at the Cove offers delicious pies for dine-in, delivery and pick-up from 10.30 am to 9 pm in Jan and February. Between March and December, it closes at 10 pm.
The pizza is great quality, and the whole menu offers good value for money. You can choose your pie with a thin or regular crust. And those with gluten intolerance are in for a treat – the gluten-free cauliflower crust pizza here is top-notch.
The specials include bold flavors like The Mountain Man, which features brisket and barbecue sauce. And there’s a good choice of simple but delicious sides like fries, corn fritters and wings. All this, and service is quick and friendly too.
5. Johnny Carino’s

Johnny Carino’s is a small chain of Italian restaurants with an extensive menu – including some great pizza. The Pigeon Forge location is open every day. You can dine in or collect your food curb-side to enjoy at home.
The pizzas are crafted with house-made dough and cooked in a wood-burning oven. The result is a light, crisp and tasty crust. All the pies yield six slices.
The selection here is limited. There’s a choice of just three topping combinations: the Margherita, Johnny’s Three Meat Combo (with pepperoni, ham and sausage) and the Pepperoni & Pepperoni.
You can add a house or Caesar salad or soup for an extra $4.49. Or for an extra $7.99, combine your pizza with an Italian wedge salad.
6. The Casual Pint

The Casual Pint is a gastropub offering great pizza and the widest selection of craft beers in town. It’s open seven days a week for both dine-in and takeaway.
The 14-inch pies are made with house-made dough, mixed fresh every day. There’s a simple menu of pepperoni or create your own. The latter comes with an impressive choice of sauces – marinara, pesto, ranch, buffalo or sriracha chili bourbon.
There’s a decent range of toppings too. Meat options are pepperoni, chicken, bacon and bratwurst. Veggies are red onion, jalapenos, green peppers and tomatoes.
Elsewhere on the menu you’ll find starters, burgers, wraps, sidewinders, sandwiches, flatbreads and sides. And there’s a small menu for kids too.
7. Papa Leone’s Pizzeria

Papa Leone’s offers a comfortable and relaxed experience when you dine in. Outdoor dining is available too. Just check the website, as covid restrictions may affect your options from time to time. If you prefer, you can collect your food or have it delivered to your door.
The menu features 14 and 16-inch build-your-own pizzas. You can also choose pre-set toppings from the specialty or signature ranges. The latter include innovative combinations like the Bacon Cheese Burger and Lasagna pizzas. And there are small and large calzones and Stromboli too.
There’s also a kid’s pizza, plus nuggets and fries or a ham and cheese sub for the little ones. And if you’re not in the mood for pizza, adults can choose from salads, hot and cold subs and a range of appetizers.
8. Squisito Too

Just down the road from Pigeon Forge in Sevierville you’ll find Squisito Too. This Italian chain restaurant offers delicious pizza and pasta dishes, and friendly service. You can dine in, order takeaway, or get your food delivered via GrubHub. It’s open every day from 11 am to 9 pm.
Pizzas are available in 11 and 14-inch pies. There’s an 11-inch gluten-free cauliflower crust option too, for an extra $2. Choose one of the specialty toppings, or create your own. There’s a good range of sauces, cheeses, meats and vegetables to pick from.
If you have little ones, you’ll be pleased to see the kids’ menu. This features several pasta dishes, a salad, and chicken with vegetables.
There’s a great range of pastas for adults too, plus a create-your-own entrée and salad menu. And you can choose from cookies or cannoli for dessert.
9. Country Roads Axe Co.

If you fancy your pizza alongside some entertainment, head to Country Roads Axe Co. Here you can work up an appetite throwing axes, before tucking into your pie! Alternatively, call them up to order takeout. Both options are available daily, but you’ll need to collect your takeout yourself.
The pizzas here come courtesy of West By God CoalFired Pizza. The company’s proud West Virginia heritage is reflected in the quirky names given to its pies.
There’s the Rock Lake, featuring tomato sauce, mozzarella, pecorino, bacon, pineapple and bacon jam. 1863 combines pecorino, pepperoni, sausages and mushrooms on a tomato sauce and mozzarella base. And the Lean ’n’ Green has pistachio pesto, mozzarella, sausage and a honey drizzle.
There’s a choice of 12 or 16-inch pies. And the menu suggests interesting substitutions if you want to tweak the flavors. There’s also a good selection of appetizers, wings, salads and sandwiches.
10. Sweet Momma’s Café at Pigeon Forge KOA

Sweet Momma’s Café is open from Fridays through Sundays for takeaway. Note that there’s no delivery service with this one.
Here you get no-nonsense and tasty pizza. Choose from a hunk of pizza for $3.29, or a whole pie. With the latter, you’ll get a choice of a hand-tossed or thin crust.
There’s a good range of toppings you can add at no extra charge. These include pepperoni, sausage, beef, bell peppers, mushrooms, black olives, red onion and jalapenos. Extra cheese is priced at an additional $1.95.
If your pizza craving starts early in the day, this is the place for you! There’s a breakfast pizza featuring scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mozzarella and cheddar. Wings, wraps and ice cream are on the menu too.
11. J. Del’s Pizza

- Del’s Pizza is one of the best rated pizza places in Pigeon Forge. Surprisingly in this day and age, there’s no website – but head to Teaster Lane and you’ll be treated to excellent food. And you can order takeaway or get delivery too.
The pizzas are generous and cheesy, and there’s a great choice of specialties and toppings. Prices are affordable, and the service is fast and friendly.
You can even get added entertainment by watching the chef prepare your pie. And if you have room, there are some delicious desserts to complete your meal.
12. The Front Porch Café, Dollywood

Visit Pigeon Forge’s famed theme park, Dollywood, and you can enjoy pizza at the Front Porch Café. There’s wait list seating, so put your name down and then head out to enjoy the park. They’ll text you when your table is ready.
The food here is simple and tasty, and the service gets excellent reports. The menu includes pizza, but it’s not the centerpiece. Also featured are soups, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrées. Expect generous portions and good value for a theme park location.
If you’ve got any kind of food allergy, just let your server know. The café prides itself on being able to accommodate any dietary requirements.
13. Pizzeria of Gatlinburg

A little further afield in Gatlinburg you’ll find the simply named Pizzeria of Gatlinburg. The focus here is on good Italian food with a home-cooked feel. And their pizzas are the largest in town.
You can choose to build your own pie or select from a range of topping combinations. These include options like the White Pizza, Veggie, Hawaiian, Buffalo Chicken, Greek, Lasagna and Grilled Shrimp.
Choose from a thin or standard crust, and add any extra toppings you choose. You can even elect to split your pizza, with a choice of selected different specialties on each half. All the pizzas are available as calzones or Stromboli too. And there’s a gluten-free 14-inch crust for an extra $5.
With a specialty pizza, you can choose a pie in four sizes from 10 to a massive 22 inches across. If you’re creating your own, your pie will be 14 inches.
If all that choice isn’t enough for you, the menu also includes appetizers, wings, salads, soups, pasta, hoagies and gyros. And there’s a kids’ menu and a selection of desserts too.
14. Ski Mountain Pizza

Head to the lodge-like Ski Mountain Pizza in Gatlinburg and you can dine in one of their cosy booths. Alternatively, order your food for takeout or delivery. It’s open five days a week, staying closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The pies here are New York-style, and you’ll also find Stromboli and calzones. There’s also a 10-inch gluten-free crust. The food is fresh and the sauce is house-made and flavorful.
Make your own pizza by selecting from the extensive range of toppings, or choose from the many specialties. Note, though, that if you’re choosing a specialty pie, you won’t be able to substitute any of the toppings.
15. Nino’s Pizzeria and Eatery

Another great find in Sevierville, Nino’s is a low-key eatery serving up a fine range of pizzas, pastas and subs. It’s open every day except Sunday for dine-in or takeout. But you won’t be able to get your food delivered to your door.
There’s a good selection of specialty pizzas and toppings to create your own. You can also select a gluten-free 10-inch crust. Other options are available in sizes from 10 to 16 inches. And you can add toppings of your choice to calzones and Stromboli too.
Also on the menu are a tasty range of appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, subs, sandwiches and sides.
